The Beckett Band The Beckett Band takes its name from the great Irish writer Samuel Beckett. The band combines traditional celtic and contemporary styles with considerable ‘joie de vivre’. The Beckett Band are ideal for weddings or parties because they can provide a variety of music. For example they could provide some early evening mood music, followed by a ceilidh and end the evening with some popular dance music to cater for different ages. Equally, if it’s just the ceilidh you want The Beckett Band will happily ceilidh all night long! The line up consists of guitar/vocals, violin, bass, accordion/piano, and drums/bodhran, the Irish drum. The band is available as a trio or quartet and for events requiring dance instruction are joined by a caller. The band’s repertoire is extensive and eclectic and will accommodate client requests given sufficient notice. The full repertoire available on request. The Beckett Band provides entertainment across a broad spectrum, including corporate events, festivals, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, charity balls, street parties, banquets, ceilidhs and barn dances.
